Clean surface area of dirt, grease, oil, paint or loose debris. Remove paint and primer before applying. If wood is rotted or soft, remove loose material and apply J-B Wood Hardener to strengthen wood fibers to seal.2. Place a golf ball size of wood filler onto a mixing board and squeeze into it a ¾ inch line of hardener.3. Mix thoroughly. Apply immediately with appropriate tool in thin layers until the gap is filled.4. Work quickly since the mixture will set in about 10 minutes at room temperature.5.
