Italeri brand 1/72 Scale F-16 C/D Night FalconPlastic Model Kit from Italeri. Suitable for Ages 14 & Older. The F-16C is the newest version of this outstanding single-seater fighter/attack aircraft - the F-16D is the equivalent two-seater. The F-16's firstflight took place in 1974 and won the U. S. Air Force light weight Fightercontest against the YF-17 as a low cost alternative to the F-15 Eagle. Theversions with upgraded performance and abilities are currently in service. TheF-16 has a single jet engine and comes in both single seat and tandem seatversions. It was also among the first aircraft to feature full fly-by-wirecontrol. This multi-role fighter is produced in the United States and in a European multination programme which includes about 500 planes for Denmark, Norway Holland and Belgium.
