There are differences between the 2mm and 3mm. The 3mm is a male thread and the 2mm is a female thread with a screw. 2mm style applies to the belt buckle with a approximately 2mm hole, the hole without thread. 3mm style applies to the buckle with a approximately 3mm hole,the hole is threaded.

How do you remove the one broken off in the hole so you can screw the new one?

Reference Method 1:

Take a 3mm broken screw as an example:

Tools needed: 1.5 and 2.3mm drill one of each/ electric drill/ 3mm tap

1. Grind the fracture flat first, and use the tip of the tap to punch a positioning point in the center to prevent the hole drilling from shifting.

2. Drill a 1.5mm hole, be careful, the hole should not be too deep, too large or offset to prevent damage to the original thread.

3. Enlarge the hole to 2.3mm (Max2.5mm).

4. First use the tip of the scissor to unscrew the broken screw counterclockwise, if not, use a 3mm (M3) tap to repair the threaded hole.

Reference Method 2:

Gorilla Glue or the like broken piece or something similar to its size if you lost it, let it sit for a bit and then unscrew it off when the glue is hardened. -Hope That Helps.
