ProductDescription : Camlocks, also known as cam and groove couplings, are a common method of connecting pipes and hoses. They are frequently used because they are easy to install and do not require any special tools. Camlocks are particularly useful when there is a need to frequently change or maintain pipes. The design of cam and groove couplings also helps to prevent loosening caused by vibrations. This specific camlock conforms to the EN14420-7 standard. To connect the camlock fitting, simply pull up on the locking lever above the cam handle, insert the adaptor plug into the coupler, and rotate the cam handles toward the coupler's body. This will lock the adaptor in place, creating a secure connection. To disconnect the camlock fitting, first depressurize the connection, then pull back the locking lever while rotating the handle away from the coupler's body and remove the adaptor. Close the coupler by rotating the handle towards the coupler's body when it is not in use to prevent possible damage. There are eight different types of camlock fittings available, ranging from Type A to Type DP. The camlock fitting provided is Type B. The Type B cam and groove coupling feature a female coupler end with a male thread that complies with the National Pipe Thread (NPT). The female coupler can be paired with the adapter of a male coupler of the same size. Type B camlocks are frequently paired with Type F camlock fittings.
