For example, the lock features a chain with 4-edge links which protect against bolt cutters due to the larger edge length. Hardened steel - a must-have! The hardness of your lock is crucial when it comes to resist bolt cutters and metal saws. Thus, when it comes to the steel in your lock, we make no compromises. For example, using very lightweight steel would easily reduce the weight of your lock by 1.5 lbs / 700 grams, but unfortunately it would also lower the protection level. Consequently, for our locks, we choose only solid special steel that was additionally hardened at very high temperatures. This crucial security feature raises the chain lock weight to considerable 5.5 lbs / 2.5 kilo. Or as we like to say: better massive than sorry. Flexible locking thanks to extra-long chain When locking your bike, length naturally plays a decisive role.
