The vases are made from thick recyclable industrial polyethylene plastic and are designed to withstand the rigors of outdoor use. They will not rust, corrode, or crack from freezing. They will last for years in the baking sun and can be easily wiped clean to remove hard water deposits. Unlike granite, a bump from lawnmower or weed trimmer will not crack or break the vases.

The vases have a genuine granite/stone appearance and are 10 inches (250 mm) tall by 4.5 inches (115 mm) wide. The opening in the top can be used to place flowers inside. The opening is tapered and with the smallest size at 1.75 inches (44 mm) diameter.

There are several means of securing the vase to the ground or to a headstone: 1) The included metal spike can easily be attached and driven into the ground. 2) The vases can be installed securely onto concrete with anchor bolts. 3) The vases can be glued to a concrete surface. Use good surface preparation and outdoor adhesive.
