Simply place the bowl on the platform, press the power/tare button and then add your ingredients. What you want to weigh is what will be weighed. The slim yet precise electronic components weigh accurately to a max capacity of 11 lb x 0.1 oz / 176 oz x 0.1 oz / 5 kg x 0.001 kg / 5000 g x 1 g which give you a lot of flexibility in weighing. An add and weigh oetare feature allows the weight of the container to oezeroed out before adding food, and also allows for multiple ingredients to be weighed separately in the same container. Auto shut off is featured to save battery life, but the scale can also be turned off manually by pressing the Power button for 3 seconds. Three AAA batteries are included for convenience.
