This steelpan is powder coated in BLACK for a sleek finish and durability whilst preserving tonal quality. The Black playing surface is 12 inches in diameter and consists of 11 notes which are indentified by the colors of the Rainbow in the scale of C Major from (C5 to F6) which allows for the much easier playing of many popular melodies, some of which are provided in the included booklet which introduces the steelpan and its use. The guidebook "Melodies for the Mini C Pan" is an excellent introduction to the steelpan and contains a brief history and instructions on how to set up and play the steelpan. Included is a list of 21 melodies of varying levels of difficulty which are each performed on the Mini C Pan for further ease of learning. These melodies played on the Mini C Pan is accessible by a YouTube link placed inside the cover of the book to its video-audio soundtrack called "Melodies for the Mini C Pan" where you can listen and play along to each song. The product is packaged in a brown corrugated cardboard box and includes a red sturdy steel stand and a pair of sticks along with the instructional booklet.
