ProductDescription : Philmore seal and insulate(S/I) tape is a fusion tape that chemically and physically bonds to itself wherever it overlaps. It is a silicone based product that is a wonder of modern chemistry. Don't mistake it for old fashioned electrical tape. It is waterproof and can withstand the sun's ultraviolet rays and temperatures of -65 degrees(F) below zero to 500 degrees (F). To use wrap the first turn 100%coverage and then overlap each turn covering from 30% to 50% of the previous turn. S/I tape will grip immediately and achieve complete bonding and sealing within 24 hours. A plastic liner prevents the tape from fusing until it is applied. MADE in USA! THIS IS NOT A CHEAP IMPORT PRODUCT. SEE SPECIFICATIONS BELOW. Some uses: Cover an exposed conductor in a damaged extension cord. Create a non-slip grip on tool handles with no sticky residue.
