ProductDescription : Medium: original etching (re-strike). Executed in 1956, only 30 impressions of this etching were printed for the exclusive signed/numbered first edition, after which the plate was "canceled" by having a single diagonal line drawn through (which does not greatly compromise the composition). This second re-strike edition was printed from the original plate by Crommelynck and issued in an edition of 2000 for the special Dix Ans d'Edition of Derrière le Miroir in 1956, published in Paris by Maeght. Plate size: 3 x 4 inches (75 x 100 mm); with an inscription in the margin identifying it as canceled (rayé) and text on verso, as published. A rich impression in reddish-brown ink. Not signed.
