Fabric goes face up over the setter plate. Position where you want to place the stud. Press down firmly until the prongs bend. The prongs pass through the top of the material and are folded over by the grooves in the setter plate, locking them onto the fabric from the back.The studs are made of a non rusting copper alloy and the prongs are easy to bend.
