Perfect for water marbling, this powder creates a smooth, viscous layer that’s essential for achieving consistent, professional results. Creating your marbling bath is simple. Mix 2 tablespoons of Jacquard Carrageenan Powder into warm water, and whisk or blend until the powder dissolves completely. Allow to rest at least one hour or until all bubbles have risen before use. When hand mixing, allow up to 12 hours for bubbles to dissipate. When you’re ready, pour the solution into a shallow tray—big enough to fit whatever material you’re marbling. Drip or swirl your marbling paints onto the surface of the solution and use a marbling comb or skewer to create patterns, from delicate swirls to bold feathers.
