This is an Academy 1/48 Scale assembly and painting required plastic model kit of the Grumman TBF Avenger, a World War II era single-engine torpedo-bomber operated by the United States Navy and Marine Corps. This 1/48 scale model kit features the TBM-3 ("M" is the Navy designation for aircrafts produced by General Motors) Avenger. Model kit features: Kit features engraved panel lines, well appointed interior (cockpit, dorsal turret and weapons bay), reinforcing center-wing spar, twin row radial engine, separately molded rudder; multi-part canopy, ventral gun, wing aerials, single-piece 3-blade propeller, detailed landing gear with choice of tires (2 tread patterns), separately molded aft boarding hatch, optional open weapons bay, bomb cart and ordnance (5" HVAR rockets x8, 500lb bombs x4, 1600 lb bomb, 2000lb bomb). Aircraft is ex-Accurate Miniatures mold. Decals and color painting guide for 2 US Navy 'turkeys': No 307 onboard USS Bunker Hill and No 309 onboard USS Essex - includes stencil data and seatbelts.
