ProductDescription : Protects expensive water lilies & submerged plants from damage by Koi. It also allows the growing of lilies in ponds normally too deep, or that lack plant shelves. The Safe Haven can also provide cover for fish fry. It is constructed of polyethylene and assembled with stainless steel components for long life.The Safe Haven floats with its top about an inch or so above the water's surface.

The Safe Haven's depth can be easily adjusted by trimming the height of the screen with a sharp pair of scissors. This allows customization for growing a wide variety of aquatic plants. Proven plants include: Anacharis, Parrots Feather, Bacopa, Tropical & Hardy Water Lilies.

When you are preparing the Safe Haven, it may be helpful to consider both soil weight & volume. The 16" Safe Haven will hold approximately 5 gallons or 3/4 ft³ of lightweight aquatic mix which would weigh 23 lbs (an ideal weight for the floating island).
