This era saw Earth's first complete ecosystem, which was wiped out in the Permian extinction of 95% of all life. Permian era caves were discovered during limestone mining, and a fossil discovery and rescue team from Paleo Tex recovered as many of these fossils as possible before these precious remnants of history were destroyed. This is one of those rescued fossils and belonged to a rare species of cave dweller.
