Designed for a Forklift Battery, Golf Cart Battery, Alternative and Solar Energy Battery, and many more. If your battery make is not listed here, chances are these will still fit your batteries. Feel free to send us a note with any questions you might have. Use these caps to replace lost vent caps, outfit an old battery with new vents or simply change the color of your existing vents. NOTE: THESE VENTS DO NOT TYPICALLY FIT CAR BATTERIES OR MARINE BATTERIES. The bottom of the vent is 1.14" at its widest point. If you are unsure, measure your batteries vent opening to make sure it is at least 1.14" in diameter. This style of battery vent cap is by far the most common type of vent in the country and is used on most golf carts, solar battery installations, RVs, Motor Coaches and many other deep cycle batteries. These vents are what are referred to as "Bayonet" battery vents, meaning they have to protrusions on the underside of the vent cap that lock them into place on your battery. This is done by placing the vent cap in the battery vent hole and 1/4 turning it clockwise to tighten and lock it down. To remove it, simply turn the cap counter clockwise. If your battery is already equipped with this type of vent cap, these are suitable replacements. These vents will not work with the "Plate" type vent that looks like a small rectangular plate that covers all three vent holes at once. If your existing vent caps look similar to those in the pictures, these vents should fit your batteries as all bayonet battery vent caps look the same.
