What's a Kelvin? Our MR16 and GU10 bulbs are 3000 Kelvin. This represents the "color" (which is based on the temperature) of the light. Our 3000k light bulb deliver a soft white light, closely matching traditional halogen bulbs. For comparison, 2700K light bulbs have a slightly more yellow hue, similar to incandescent bulbs, our 3000k are soft white light bulbs, whereas 4000-5000K bulbs produce a bluish tint, often seen in hospitals or office building.

Many brands market higher Kelvin (4000-5000K) bulbs with lower lumens to make them "appear" brighter.
