With the 110 series, Cane Creek's designers were given the job of designing a top level headset that won't give any compromise on your ride, and they didn't fall short. The ZS56/40 sits tucked neatly into your frame, and may well outlast you with its durable construction, compression rings, and top level stainless steel sealed cartridge bearings that sit nestled neatly in your head tube, plus it's backed by a 110 year no-questions-asked warranty. Machined in North Carolina from US made 7075 T-6 aluminum, the 110 series features some of the highest grade materials available, and its quality and precision rivals that of a Chris King headset, which for years stood above the rest. Like Chris King, they are made in the USA, but unlike Chris King, the Cane Creek 110 series opts for an alloy crown race and compression ring to add extra security. The compression ring facilitates easy assembly and eliminates the possibility of rocking or creaking regardless of the small variations often found in steerer tube diameters. And for lightweight carbon fiber steer tubes, the extra surface area over other systems ensures a damage-free compressive junction. With the zero stack (ZS) design, Cane Creek enables you to keep your total stack height right where you want it, which can be especially critical to the feel of your ride on bikes with long travel forks. Zero stack headsets also give frame builders more play by increasing room for the all-important junction of your head tube, with top and down tubes.
