Booster Concentrate is the trade name for the highly purified monolaurin product that is now commercially available. This pure distilled pelletized monoglyceride is different from monolaurin capsules in that it contains no fillers or excipients. Is monolaurin in capsules the same as Booster Concentrate pellets? No! The usual 300 mg capsule contains (in addition to 300 mg monolaurin) a base of 7.5 mg inosine and 106 mg calcium phosphate with inert ingredients dicalcium phosphate, cellulose powder, and silicon dioxide. Booster Concentrate, on the other hand, is the purest monolaurin commercially attainable and is without any fillers or allergens. Why doesn't Booster Concentrate come in capsules? The pelletized microform is easier to administer orally, and proper concentration levels may be better achieved. One teaspoonful is equivalent to 10 capsules. Booster Concentrate should not be chewed but swallowed whole. What is the difference between Booster Concentrate and lauric acid? Booster Concentrate is an ester (a combination of a lauric acid and glycerol), while lauric acid is a C12 fatty acid. Lauric acid is NOT an amino acid.
