ProductDescription : Booster Concentrate Booster Concentrate FAQs Exactly what is Booster Concentrate? Booster Concentrate is the trade name for the highly purified monolaurin product that is now commercially available. This pure distilled pelletized monoglyceride is different from monolaurin capsules in that it contains no fillers or excipients. Is monolaurin in capsules the same as Booster Concentrate pellets? No! The usual 300 mg capsule contains (in addition to 300 mg monolaurin) a base of 7.5 mg inosine and 106 mg calcium phosphate with inert ingredients dicalcium phosphate, cellulose powder, and silicon dioxide. Booster Concentrate, on the other hand, is the purest monolaurin commercially attainable and is without any fillers or allergens. Why doesn't Booster Concentrate come in capsules? The pelletized microform is easier to administer orally, and proper concentration levels may be better achieved. One teaspoonful is equivalent to 10 capsules. Booster Concentrate should not be chewed but swallowed whole. What is the difference between Booster Concentrate and lauric acid? Booster Concentrate is an ester (a combination of a lauric acid and glycerol), while lauric acid is a C12 fatty acid. Lauric acid is NOT an amino acid. Lauric acid alone is corrosive, but monolaurin is an emollient (has moisturizing characteristics) and is nontoxic and non-irritating to the skin. Is lauric acid / monolaurin the same as coconut oil (CNO)? No! Pure lauric acid cannot be ingested because it is severely irritating. When lauric acid is chemically bound to glycerol to form monolaurin (trade name Booster Concentrate), there are no irritations or gastrointestinal problems. In addition, Booster Concentrate is more highly germicidal than lauric acid. Virgin CNO has no germicidal qualities. Must you use a particular monolaurin to get positive results? Yes! Booster Concentrate was developed from research and other studies that have been ongoing since 1966. Only Booster Concentrate has been clinically tested and continues to be used by clinicians, health professionals, and their patients. Are there any side effects when taking Booster Concentrate? The supplement Booster Concentrate is entirely nontoxic. However, if starting levels are too high, a patient may become worse following the administration of Booster Concentrate (or another form of treatment that kills the causative organism due to the "Jarisch-Herxheimer" reaction. What is a "Jarisch-Herxheimer" or "die-off" reaction? The "Jarisch-Herxheimer" reaction (also referred to as "Herx") is believed to be a reaction caused by organisms (bacteria) dying off and releasing toxins into the body faster than the body can comfortably handle them. By lowering the Booster Concentrate level for a week and gradually increasing the amount, this effect can be managed. Does Booster Concentrate kill "friendly" bacteria? Booster Concentrate", to the best of our knowledge, DOES NOT affect "friendly" bacteria. How long will it take to see results? Booster Concentrate, like vitamins, does not have an instant effect on health. Although we have seen results in weeks, Booster Concentrate usually should be administered 3-6 months before seeing optimum results. Because every animal's genetic makeup is completely different, individual response time will vary. When should the product be given? Just when symptomatic? Booster Concentrate is a suppressive agent. A dietary supplement like Booster Concentrate should be taken for at least 6 months or more before reducing/eliminating the supplement. How long would I need to give Booster Concentrate to inactivate an enveloped virus? The length of time for taking the supplement is an individual response. Because even drugs DO NOT cure viral problems, the supplement needs to be taken continually basis for better health, much like vitamins. Can Booster Concentrate be taken with other medications or supplements? Yes, however, not all interactions can be predicted. It is best to consult with your veterinary professional. What is Booster Concentrate? Booster Concentrate is pure distilled monolaurin. It should be used when there is an acute illness or the animal is known to be infected with one of the microorganisms inactivated by Booster Concentrate in laboratory studies.
