Our specially-made UPF50+ (highest rating) base fabric is light weight and breathable and tested each production run by Australia'a ARPANSA Lab to ensure it meets UPF specification. The peak is approx 1" (2cm) wider than a standard cap, providing more sun protection to the face. The large mesh vent panels are offset to take advantage of helmet vents to allow natural air flow and maintain rider comfort; while providing a solid UPF50+ fabric panel through the crown of head. The long and wide backflap protects the rider's neck, ears and side of face without affecting peripheral vision, while the Strap Catches easily attach the the helmet straps to help keep with backflap from flying up. Making sure riders stay visible, the Explorer includes reflective binding on the peak and backflap. This ONE SIZE fits most helmet shapes and sizes and with the elastic and toggle providing easy fit and adjustment. 12 month warranty.
