ProductDescription : Working principle

Mud hydrometer is used in industry or laboratory to measure mud weight in g/mm3. The hydrometer is a balance with unequal arms.

On the left side of the lever, there is a graduated code device. The moving code can directly read the mud weight on the scale.

The balance of the lever can be indicated by a horizontal bubble at the top of the lever.

Instructions:

1. When in use, pour the mud into the mud cup until it is flush with the cup, and gently close the lid.

The excess mud and air will be discharged from the small hole in the middle of the lid;

2. Wipe the spilled mud clean, and then put the lever on the base;

3. Slowly move the weight. When the bubbles are in the center, the lever is in a horizontal state.

The scale shown on the left side of the weight is the specific gravity of the mud;

4. Rinse and wipe after use to avoid affecting subsequent use.

Calibration method:

To check the accuracy of the instrument, fill the mud cup with distilled water. If the specific gravity measured by the same method is 1, it indicates that the hydrometer is accurate.

If the measured result is not 1, the balanced cylinder cover of the mud hydrometer can be unscrewed to increase or decrease the metal particles in the cylinder, so that the specific gravity measured is 1.
