Applications for DuraGrip Hook Side Hook and Loop Fasteners Hook-and-loop fasteners, also known as, hook-and-pile fasteners or touch fasteners consist of two fabric strips (normally linier, round or square) and are typically sewn to opposing surfaces that need to be fastened. The two opposing surfaces feature tiny hooks and smaller loops, that when the two are pressed together the hooks catch in the loops and bind temporarily. When pulling apart, the strips make a very well know "ripping" sound. Sew on hooks are most often used to sew a fastener onto clothing, bags, mats and more, but it can be used for more than just sewing applications. The hook side can be used as a marker or indicator on carpet or shelving and in conjunction with the adhesive backed hook and loop. It can also be used to cover loose cables on carpet, and we use sew on hook and loop to manufacture straps in a variety of styles for several applications.
