7.5-10.5 inches (4 levels) adjustable harp fits most table and floor lamp shades, no need to measure the height of the shade (fits most 12"-18" shades).

You can adjust the length of the stand by turning it 90 degrees towards the movable channel, choose the most correct height (the length that fits best - the bottom of the lampshade is 1/2" under the lamp head. So the total height of the harp = the height - 1" or 1.5") to choose it correctly - please keep the bulb bright spot in the very centre of the lampshade.

Note: If you find that the bracket at the top of the harp is bent. Don't worry about it. This is a normal phenomenon, it has an adjustment angle of 15°. This allows you to adjust the angle of the lampshade to focus the light where you want it.
