ProductDescription : The Filmtools Barrel Adapter - 1/4-20 Male to 3/8-16 Female includes the FIlmtools fluted barrel adapter which is CNC machined of 6061 T6 black anodized aluminum. A stainless 1/4"-20 set screw has been thread locked in place giving you a male 1/4"-20 thread for attaching accessories. This adapter basically changes your 3/8"-16 male threaded accessory to a 1/4"-20 male thread on the end, plus it gives you the fluted knob so you can tighten it down by hand without the need for tools. It also takes your female 1/4"-20 female threaded accessory and provides instead a 3/8"-16 female thread.
