ProductDescription : LPE Tools' Oil Filter Drain Tool safely and effectively removes up to 70% of residual oil contained in a used oil filter. Works on filters from almost all US & foreign passenger vehicles and light duty trucks. Accepts filters with openings of 0.6”-1.0” (including the most common 18 mm, ¾”, 20 mm, 13/16”, and 22 mm openings) and works on filters up to 5¼” in length. How It Works: 1. Remove oil filter from the engine. 2. Thread the tapered plug into the filter and finger tighten. 3. Insert the tip of the T-handle part into the plug’s center opening. 4. Position filter over drip pan or other suitable container 5. Twist the T-handle clockwise until the pointed tip penetrates the filter dome. 6. Remove the T-handle from the plug by twisting it counter-clockwise. 7. Remove the plug from the filter. 8. Place the filter dome-side down on the drip pan (or other suitable container) and allow oil to drain from the filter overnight.
