The MOEBULB 77750 Oil Filter Cutting Tool is designed to cut open most oil filters on the market so you can inspect what is captured inside the filter element, giving you an idea of ​​the health of your equipment's engine. Opening the replaced filter in time to understand the internal situation can help avoid some problems of equipment failures in advance. It is a routine inspection work that can save costs.

The cutting principle is similar to that of a round tube cutter.

77750 Oil Filter Cutter Features:

• 2 Sets of Roller Positioning Holes:  Adjustable to accommodate oil filters of various diameters.
• Adjustable Feed Screw: easily grab and match your filter housing.
• Aluminum Alloy Billet: When your oil filter is too small and incompatible with this cutter, you can easily DIY modify this tool. Just use an electric drill to drill another set of roller positioning holes closer to the blade, and then install the roller into this set of holes. ( Note: This tool is suitable for oil filters with diameters from 2-3/8" to 5" before modification ). If your filter diameter is larger than 5", this cutter will not fit you and it will be more complicated to modify it.

NOTE: The rollers are pre-installed in the holes closer to the blades, if your filter is larger than 4" in diameter, reinstall the rollers in the other set of holes.

How to Use The Filter Cutting Tool:

• Step 1: Place the filter on the tool and adjust the feed screw so that the blade is in slight touch with the filter (not too tight to cause excessive touch)
• Step 2: Rotate the filter or cutter and begin cutting until touch is loose
• Step 3: Adjust the feed screw again so that the filter is in slight contact with the blade. Then continue to rotate the filter or cutter.
• Step 4: Repeat the above steps until the filter is completely cut opening.
