Awning Arm Slider Catch Kit Installation. 1. Remove the old slider clips Extend the awning and insert a small flathead screwdriver into the gap between the back and front of the clip. Pry open the back side and remove the slider clip. 2. Install the new slider clip Insert the new slider clip into the hole on the main arm from the front. Then insert the lip of the back side into the lower sill Place the spring between the back side of the slider catch and the main arm Snap the back side of the slider into the front piece, being careful not to let the spring out.
