How to use:
1. To allow air circulation, stack some branches at the bottom.
2. To provide a source of nitrogen, add some fallen leaves (about 10cm deep) and then pile up some grass clippings (about 5cm deep), kitchen scraps and garden waste. To reduce odors, cover with soil to a depth of approximately 60 cm.
3. If the climate is dry, add water to the moist compost when adding a new layer of substance. Also, dig a in the middle of the compost to conserve excess water. If the of the compost is shiny, this is a sign that there is sufficient water.
4. To speed up decomposition, turn the compost every two weeks and add some water.
5. Decomposition is complete when the temperature stops rising and the color of the compost becomes darker. This process often takes 3 to 6 months to break down substances.
