ProductDescription : AliMed Wireless Fall Mat Alarm Systems Why use them? -Alarm sound alerts caregivers in multiple locations -Programmable hold button allows staff to place alarm unit in a temporary hold mode, allowing the patient to move off of pad without alarm sounding -Optional AC power cord, and Nurse Call connectivity -Alarm can be used with floor, bed, chair sensor devices How they work: -Alarm is triggered when patient's body weight makes contact with mat, and keeps sounding even if weight is lifted and reapplied to mat -Alarm Transmitter sends signal to Remote Receiver outside in hallway and/or to nurse call station to alert caregiver -Alarm is silenced when caregiver resets alarm in patient's room Folding Function Mat alerts caregivers if patient comes in contact with mat, either by stepping or falling onto it. The sensor inside the mat triggers the Wireless Alarm/Transmitter, which then signals the Remote Receiver with an audible alarm and flashing yellow light. The Receiver can be placed in location of choice, such as inside the patient's room or in a hallway directly outside it. For extra security, add a Nurse Call Adapter (sold separately) to alert the nurses' station as well.
