ProductDescription : ABOUT THIS IMAGE: Whether it is vacation or a cruise ship stop, it is impossible to control the weather and in an unknown city hard to get the correct timing for good photos. On this adventure, the forecast predicted three days of rain and wind, and I was smack dab in the middle of this stretch. I had only two days left before I had to catch my flight so it didn’t look promising. I scoured the area for the perfect spot, but the weather was not cooperating and my camera gear was getting soaked plus I didn’t like the cold wind blowing in my face. All my results looked dull and had too many bundled up tourists and umbrellas in the shots. I felt discouraged and defeated. My mood was about as gray as the sky. Let’s just say the best part was packing up my equipment and sampling the local pastry shops – which was providing me some extra weight to protect me from the cold for the next attempt. I was running out of time. Then one evening it looked like we might get a small window of opportunity, but it still didn't look that great and I almost bagged it thinking it would be better to find a good restaurant to enjoy a final evening in Copenhagen. Then a miracle occurred. I looked out the window and saw a sliver of sunset pink. I hurried to my spot and set up my gear. There were still a few bits of pink in the sky overhead so I knew I had a chance if the weather would hold. And then, the sun began to get lower, providing a perfect pink cast over the city. It was a great sunset, then the weather changed again but I stuck around until the evening sky looked a bit overcast and ominous... I hoped the photo might turn out, but I never get too excited until the results are in the computer. Here is the finished product. Now I just need to work off some of those tasty Danishes.
