The Seymour Duncan SSL-6 Custom Flat is a beefed up true single-coil Strat pickup for warm instruments. Perfect for Texas blues rock, classic rock and heavy rock. Many players use an SSL-6 in the bridge position with vintage output pickups, like SSL-2's, in the neck and middle for tonal versatility. Can also be used in the Neck and Bridge positions with the reverse wound, reverse polarity (RWRP) middle pickup for hum-canceling in positions "2" and "4" on the five-way switch. For heavier and brighter-toned instruments with ash or alder bodies. Works well with maple or rosewood fingerboards. Players include Duke Robillard, Mark Slaughter / Slaughter, Rafa Payan / Juan Luis Guerra.
