Needle Valves are of the rising stem type and are designed to shut off the flow of the process media to the pressure instrument, thereby allowing the instrument to be isolated from the pressure media or removed from service.
Needle valves may also be used to throttle flow and aid in dampening pulsations.

It is recommended to place a needle valve, ball valve or gauge cock in line before every pressure gauge installation.

Temperatures range from -4 to 450 F. Max. Pressure: 600 PSI WOG


Tips: If you have an issue with the valve turning and turning (the threads on the stem are no longer engaged),
then loosen the nut under the stem, push down on the stem and turn the stem clockwise to re-engage the threads on the stem.
Then tighten the nut on the stem back up. If you over tighten the nut, the stem will not want to turn in either direction.
