ProductDescription : On-Off Radio Type Volume Control, Switched Log Pot, Splined Shaft & Solder Lugs. This is one item of single gang, logarithmic, carbon track potentiometer which has an on-off click switch as often seen in old radios and tape recorders. The switch closes when the shaft is advanced beyond the fully anti-clockwise position. These are new items and come with a nut and a washer for mounting on a front panel. The T18 splined shaft is 6mm diameter. The mounting hole required is 7mm diameter. The connection lugs are for soldered wire connections. The "A" prefix before the track resistance value denotes a log audio track taper. The max power rating is 0.1W. The main body diameter is 17mm. The switch is intended for battery powered applications with a maximum rating of 0.5 Amp 12 Volts resistive load. The shaft lengths vary between the track resistance values. The exact shaft lengths are show in the particular variation pictures. If you have a pot with a track label of A503, this is a A50K where 3 is the number of zeros after 50 in Ohms. A 502 would be 5K, a 472 would be 4K7 etc. Sometimes pots may also be labelled with the A as a suffix i.e. 50K.
