Features and Specifications : This PoE cable kit lets you power your router or other network devices through an Ethernet cable -- the AC adapter doesn't have to be near the router! This item works by carrying the current from your routers AC adapter over the Ethernet cable's wires that don't carry data to your router. These PoE kits have a range of roughly 50 meters for 12V routers and 15 meters for 5V routers. Greater distances can be achieved by using AC adapters with slightly higher DC voltage ratings.
