ProductDescription : Lightweight and durable and able to be used as dust plugs to keep out contaminants and moisture, Caplugs NPT Series Plugs for NPT Fittings NPT-2500 are white-colored threaded plugs that are designed to lock tight in order to protect NPT tapered fittings against thread damage during shipping and storage. They are conveniently available in four sizes, all of which include a 1" lug on top of the part requiring only one tool to tighten and remove. This specific model fits Thread Size 2.5".
Our NPT Series plugs are fully threaded and feature a tapered design that ensures a tight fit, but they do not seat all the way down on the fitting as is commonly found with true NPT tapered NPT threads. This allows for easier installation and removal.
Caplugs NPT Series Plugs for NPT Fittings are constructed from high-density polyethylene (HD-PE), a lightweight thermoplastic polymer known for its high strength, density and durability. It is exceptionally resistant to a wide range of chemicals, including acids, bases and solvents, as well as resistant to environmental stress cracking and corrosion. These plugs have a service temperature range of 0° F (-18° C) to 215° F (102° C).
