Application
This product fits for VW 4cyl 1.8L 2.0L 4V TFSI EA888 engines, Skoda, Audi, and Seat. The OEM part number is T10531(T10531/1 Counterhold Tool, T10531/2 – Tensioning Pins, T10531/3 – Turning-over Tool, T10531/4 – Knurled Nut).
How to Operate
1. Unscrew two fastening bolts of the timing chain cover. The bolts must be replaced.
2. Install the bracket onto the belt pulley, tighten the knurled nut, and completely unscrew the belt pulley bolt.
3. Check whether the turning-over tool can slide easily on the clamping piece. If necessary, tighten the bolt.
4. Screw the tensioning pin T10531/2 into the crankshaft and tighten it with a 12mm open-ended wrench(not included).
5. Tighten the tension bolts by hand. This will lock the sprocket in position relative to the crankshaft.
6. Unscrew the knurled nut. Remove counterhold tool T10531/1 and belt pulley.
7. Screw the crankshaft without the belt pulley to install the turning-over tool onto the tensioning pin. At the top dead center position, the tool plane is upward. Use flange nuts to hold the turning-over tool.
8. Screw the crankshaft through the hexagon nut.
9. If necessary, remove the flange nut and turning-over tool from the tensioning pin. Lubricate the sealing lip of the radial oil seal with engine oil.
10. Install the belt pulley to the top-dead-center position. When doing so, pay attention to the bite of the sprocket.
11. Install the turning-over tool onto the tensioning pin. Screw on the flange nut and move the pulley back and forth slightly to ensure correct engagement. Tighten the nut until the belt pulley cannot be screwed again.
12. Install the bracket onto the belt pulley, and then tighten the knurled nut by hand.
13. Unscrew the nut and loosen the tensioning pin. Unscrew the tensioning pin and remove it with the counterhold tool.
14. Screw in the new pulley bolt with the lubricated O-ring by hand.
15. Unscrew the knurled nut, and then remove the counterhold tool T110531/1.
16. Tighten the pulley bolt.
