Left as is, the butterfly produces light that is softer and diffused compared to the bare raw power coming from a flash head. Now, it's time to take control. Use this Grid for the 8x8' Butterfly and the disbursement of the light becomes directed and tame. The spread is reduced to about 30 Degree and the output remains the same. While the image of the butterfly reflected in glossy products, catchlights in eyes and automotive subject will not continue to be sleek and uninterrupted, it will serve as the largest non-direct gridded window source available.
