ProductDescription : Increases Networking Capability
Active surge protected RS485 to RS232 converter allows to interface your devices using an RS232 communication link to RS485 /422 link and vice-versa.

DCPC (Data Collision Protection Control) function detects the incoming or outgoing data and automatically switch into the send or receive mode, you don't have to worry about the data collision problems.
Plus, a great feature of the converter is that it provides multiple interfaces for multibus cabling: RS-232 interface is a standard DB9 female connector, and RS-485 / RS-422 side provides RJ45 port and plug-in terminal board, so the RS485 communications cable can connect to either an RJ45 network port a or terminal block .

Built-in transient voltage suppressor (TVS) enables you to get double 600W lightning surge protection against the lightning strike over RS485 link, 15KV static protection over RS232 link effectively protect the value devices against high voltage. It is suitable for most industrial, commercial, office, lab and network application.

It only requires three lines (RX, TX and GND) to get RS232 to RS485 conversion, great for troubleshooting the serial system, fully plug and play.
External 9V to 20VDC power supply can be used, and a 110/240V AC to 9V DC power supply adapter is included with the converter.
