1060 Aluminum (commonly known as pure aluminum), Excellent properties of pure aluminum:
1. Low Density The density of pure aluminum is about 2700 kg/m3, which is about 35% of the density of iron.
3. Easy to machine: aluminium is cast using any casting process. Aluminium has good plasticity and can be rolled into thin sheets and films; pulled into pipes and threads; extruded into various civil profiles; it can be used for turning, milling, drilling, planing and other machining at the maximum speed that most machine tools can achieve.
4. Corrosion resistance: Al2O3 protective film is easily formed on the surface of aluminium and its alloys. This protective film is only damaged by strong exposure to halogen ions or alkali ions. Therefore, aluminium has good resistance to atmospheric corrosion (including industrial atmosphere and sea vapour) and water corrosion. It can resist the corrosion of most acids and organic substances and can resist the corrosion of weak alkali solutions by using corrosion inhibitors. The corrosion resistance of aluminium alloys can be improved by protective measures.
5. No brittleness at low temperatures: aluminum is below zero degrees Celsius. As the temperature drops, strength and plasticity do not decrease, but increase.
