ProductDescription : Martingale collars help prevent a dog from backing out of its collar. Tension on the leash will reduce the size of the collar by a limited amount, preventing the collar from pulling off over the head (when the collar is properly adjusted). When the leash is slack, the collar relaxes to a looser fit as determined by the adjusted size of the collar. This Lupine Martingale Combo collar has a second D-ring which is sewn into the collar. It does not change the size of the collar. Use with the leash if the limited-slip action is not wanted or use to attach ID.

To determine collar size, measure snugly around the middle of the neck, then add an extra 5-percent for a comfortable fit. Because this collar is slipped onto the dog's head without a buckle, also measure around the head's widest point, from under the jaw, over the top of the skull and back down to the start point. Be sure that the collar is large enough to go on over the head. 3/4-inch wide Martingale collars come in two sizes: 10-14 inches or 14-20 inches.

The reflective threads bounce light back to an observer so that these products may be seen in low-light or dark conditions when light shines on them. Made with strong bar-tack stitching, welded steel hardware, and ends which are turned under and stitched to protect fur and skin. Matching flat collars, harnesses and leashes are available.
