ProductDescription : This compact audio recording and playback module is ideal for DIY electronics projects requiring simple voice prompts or sound effects. Measuring just 30 × 28 mm, it offers up to 120 seconds of high-quality audio recording using Adaptive Differential Pulse-Code Modulation (ADPCM) compression, stored in an onboard 1 MB flash memory.

Key Features:
Recording Time: Up to 120 seconds
Audio Format: ADPCM compression
Sampling Rate: 16 kHz max.
Resolution: 14-bit
Output Power: 0.6 W into 8 Ω
Speaker Impedance: Supports 8 Ω to 32 Ω speakers
Supply Voltage: 3.0 V to 5.0 V DC
Standby Current: Less than 5 μA at 3.6 V

Control Functions:
The module features four control pads for push-button operation (connect to GN pad):
RL (Record Level): Records audio while the button is pressed.
RE (Record Edge): Starts recording on press; stops on second press or after 120 seconds.
PL (Play Level): Plays audio while the button is pressed.
PE (Play Edge): Starts playback on press; stops on second press or at end of message.

Recording starts with a short beep and ends with two short beeps, which are not included in the recorded audio.

Connections:
Power Supply: Connect between B+ and GND pads.
Speaker Output: Connect an 8 Ω to 32 Ω speaker between SPK+ and SPK− pads. Note: Outputs are floating and not referenced to ground.
Microphone Input: Designed for direct connection of an electret microphone capsule.

Applications:
Custom greeting cards with personalized messages
Model trains or toys with realistic sound effects
DIY security systems with audible alerts
Educational projects requiring audio feedback

Usage Notes:
The module's output utilizes pulse-width modulation (PWM) at approximately 2.7 MHz. When connecting to external amplifiers, use an isolation transformer (e.g., 600:600 Ω) to prevent ground loops and filter PWM noise.
For optimal recording quality, especially from line-level sources, consider using a resistor divider or potentiometer to adjust input levels and prevent distortion.
