ProductDescription : The HML-8 from Larson Electronics is a waterproof 100 watt halogen handheld spotlight with a 5 million candlepower rating. The lamp is a 100 watt tungsten H3 bulb that produces a 1,800 lumens light beam capable of reaching over 900 feet in length and is rated at 1,200 hours of operational life. Users can adjust the light beam to produce a tightly focused, intense spotlight beam or a wide floodlight beam simply by lifting the lock tab behind the lamp housing and rotating the lamp head to adjust the beam configuration. Continued rotation of the lamp housing disconnects the lamp head from the handle assembly so operators can easily and quickly replace the bulb when necessary.The light is constructed with a high impact nylon handle and lamp housing and a thick polycarbonate lens for extreme durability. The ergonomic handle is 4.5 inches long, 1.5 inches deep and 5/8 inch thick. A booted push button switch provides easy one finger operation and the no-slip textured surface of the handle provides a sure grip even in wet conditions. A lanyard attachment at the top of the handle adds further protection against dropping should operators lose their grip. A 3/8-16 inch brass nut fixture is imbedded in the base of the handle enabling the operator to unscrew the magnetic base when not needed. The entire unit weighs only 1 pound 12 ounces, making it easy to carry and operate.This handheld spotlight draws 8.5 amps on a 12 volt system. The 24 volt version draws 4.25 amps.This unit is equipped with a 16 foot coil cord ending in a standard cigarette socket plug for connection to vehicles, boats, ATVs and similar vehicles. The cord is detached via a weatherproof, 2 pin Deutsch connector which easily and securely attaches and detaches the coil cord from the spotlight. The plug contains a 15 amp fuse. Other cords are also available cords including a 21 foot cord with ring terminals, 21 foot cord with spring battery clamps and 16 or 25 foot straight cord with a cigarette plug.
