It offers exceptional corrosion resistance to acids, chlorine gas, salts, alkalis, and organic acids, making it ideal for high-corrosion applications. Gemini C resists oxidation up to 2000ºF (1093ºC) and retains hardness to 1000ºF (538ºC), ensuring durability in extreme environments, including marine atmospheres and high-temperature applications. Perfect for hot forging dies, ladles, tong bits, and other parts exposed to thermal shock and heavy corrosion, Gemini C is also ideal for providing corrosion-resistant overlays on mild or low alloy steels. With tungsten, chromium, and molybdenum content, Gemini C delivers superior wear resistance and performs reliably under heavy impact loads and elevated temperatures. Application: Remove all damaged metal. Use short arc and stringer beads. For optimum results, limit thickness to two passes and preheat heavy or critical parts to 600ºF (315ºC). Fill all craters. Not heat treatable.
