Specification Brand : SÜA BulletPoint1 : All position welding of 18% Cr – 12% Ni – 2½% Mo stainless steel producing weld deposits with a carbon content of 0.04% maximum BulletPoint2 : ***READ THIS: The images are for reference only. Please check Picture #2 for an approximate quantity of electrodes per pound*** BulletPoint3 : When this electrode produces a weld deposit of 2 FN maximum, it can be used for welding 304 and 316 stainless steels in cryogenic service at temperatures down to -452 °F. Excellent corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures against “pitting” that may be caused by sulfuric, phosphoric and acetic acids. BulletPoint4 : Can be used for welding ferritic-austenitic stainless steel such as 329, 405, 410, and 430 or titanium/niobium stabilized grades such as 316Ti in certain applications where the service temperature is below 750 °F. Common applications involve those industries manufacturing rayon, dye, paper, ink, rubber, bleach, photographic chemicals; also used for building up the sealing faces of valves and fittings for acid, gas, water, and steam equipment. BulletPoint5 : These Electrodes are available in Sizes: 3/32" and 1/8" - Available Packages: 0.5 Lb, 2 Lb and 4.4 Lb - Select your option from the Size Menu - Check Picture #2 for an approximate number of electrodes per pound - 3/32" electrodes are 12" long and 1/8" electrodes are 14" long BulletPoint6 : Easy to Clean - Powerful Magnet stays clean unlike traditional magnetic squares that hold on to metal chips even when off, with our heavy duty magnet tool you won’t cut your fingers cleaning away steel shavings and debris. When turned off debris falls off BulletPoint7 : Offers 90 degree and 45 degree angles for small pieces BulletPoint8 : On/off magnet stays clean as Magswitch technology sheds debris for years of hassle free use BulletPoint9 : Strong yet compact and lightweight for those smaller jobs Color : Black CustomerPackageType : Standard Packaging ExternallyAssignedProductIdentifier : 00840338563378 ExternallyAssignedProductIdentifier1 : 725636075016 ExternallyAssignedProductIdentifier2 : 0725636075016 ExternallyAssignedProductIdentifier3 : 00725636075016 ExternallyAssignedProductIdentifier4 : 00878628001125 Hazmat1 : MAGNETIZED MATERIAL Hazmat10 : DE_NoAir Hazmat11 : EG_NoAir Hazmat12 : ES_NoAir Hazmat13 : FR_NoAir Hazmat14 : GB_NoAir Hazmat15 : IN_MagnetizedMaterial Hazmat16 : IT_NoAir Hazmat17 : JP_NoAir Hazmat18 : MX_MagnetizedMaterial Hazmat19 : NL_NoAir Hazmat2 : UN2807 Hazmat20 : PL_NoAir Hazmat21 : SA_NoAir Hazmat22 : SE_NoAir Hazmat23 : SG_NoAir Hazmat24 : TR_NoAir Hazmat25 : US_MagnetizedMaterial Hazmat26 : ZA_NoAir Hazmat3 : 9 Hazmat4 : AE_NoAir Hazmat5 : AU_NoAir Hazmat6 : BE_NoAir Hazmat7 : BR_MagnetizedMaterial Hazmat8 : CA_MagnetizedMaterial Hazmat9 : CN_MagnetizedMaterial IncludedComponents : 75 lb Welding Magnet ItemDisplayWeight : 4.4 pounds ItemName : SÜA® - E316L-16 - Stainless Steel Welding Electrode - 12" x 3/32" (4.4 LB) ItemPackageDimensions_Height : 3.81 centimeters ItemPackageDimensions_Length : 23.368 centimeters ItemPackageDimensions_Width : 9.144 centimeters ItemPackageQuantity : 1 ItemShape : Rectangular ItemTypeKeyword : arc-welding-stick-electrodes Manufacturer : Mundaka Technologies Inc Material : Stainless Steel ModelNumber : KH521 NumberOfBoxes : 1 NumberOfItems : 1 NumberOfPieces : 1 PackageLevel : unit PartNumber : SWT-316L16E12x332x4.4 ProductDescription : Instructions: Use DC+ (reverse polarity), however, an AC machine with sufficient open circuit voltage may be used. Bevel thick sections to a 60° Vee. Clean the weld zone of all contaminants. Preheating 300 series stainless steel is NOT required. The diameter of the electrode chosen should be equal to the thickness of the base metal. Use the lowest possible welding current or increase your welding speed in order to avoid overheating or distortion of the base metal. Overheating stainless steel can degrade the composition and corrosion resistant properties. The arc length should be kept as short as possible but do not touch the flux-coating of the electrode into the molten weld pool. Hold the electrode at a 15° angle into the direction of travel. Stringer beads should be used in the flat, horizontal, and overhead positions. The weaving technique should be used for vertical welding but not to exceed two to three times the diameter of the electrode. Remove all slag before making additional passes. On the final pass, allow the part to cool down partially before removing the slag, then promote rapid cooling by quenching with a wet rag or compressed air. This will preserve the corrosion resistant properties of the 300 series stainless. Do not allow to slow cool.
