Doctors and nurse-midwives recommend swaddling infants to help calm them and improve the quality/duration of sleep, but suggest that it is important to make sure: 1) baby does not overheat and 2) baby's legs are not constricted, which could cause hip displacement as baby's hips develop. Please use chest circumference (not age or weight) to determine the correct size. To measure baby's chest, use a soft tape measure around the widest part of baby's chest under the arms. Small fits chest 13.5" to 17" (34cm-43 cm-Newborn to between approximately 3-5 months). Large fits chest 16" to 20.5" (41-52 cm-age ranges from 2 months and up). Care Instructions: Wash before first use. Close Velcro tabs before washing. Machine wash cold with like colors. Do not bleach. Tumble dry warm, remove promptly. Do not iron.
