The probe is made from AWG 8 Gauge thermocouple wire and is rated for continuous use at very high temperatures up to 2372 °F Fahrenheit or 1300 °C Celsius. The k-type thermocouple is available in about 8.5 inch, 14.5" and 18.5" in total length, they come without ceramic insulators. The K-type thermocouple sensors allow you to adjust the probe length by shortening the wire to your exact requirement. This makes it a perfect spare part if your thermocouple failed. This k-type thermocouple is frequently used in ceramic ovens, kilns and furnaces, in pottery ovens, metal working, forges, crucible, metal melting, manufacturing and whenever you need to measure and control very high temperatures.
