TheRail is a patented, simple but effective support device for guitar and bass players who anchor.  Anchoring is a technique where the musician touches the guitar as they strum, pick or pluck the strings. Maybe you anchor to the pickup, pickup ring, bridge, the closest string or just the body of the guitar.

TheRail is designed to be placed anywhere so you have something to anchor to when you play.

Have a look at your picking style to see if you anchor. Some musicians do both Anchor and Float, and some do one or the other. Search pictures of your favorite guitarist, and look at their picking hand. You'll find that many guitarist anchor (Bass and Guitar).

With such a wide variety of guitars on the market, what you anchor to will change with every guitar and bass. Guitars can differ in scale lengths, fret count, bridge type, depth of string to the body, how many pickups, pickup rings or no pickup rings, humbuckers or single coils and/or a combination of each. None of which were designed for anchoring. What you anchor to will either give you support or the lack of support confidence. You may even play the strings in a spot that is most comfortable but have nothing in the area to anchor on.
