Each cover is a one piece hand-woven cape and will drape over any round structure that meets at a single point. This umbrella thatch cover is also used to replace worn-out thatches on round structures. We recommend when re-thatching palapas to always layer two umbrella covers making it a double layer. This ensures that the umbrella cover will last a longer time and increase the lifespan for many years. The Mexican palm thatch can last 3 to 5 years depending on the climate before it needs to be replaced. We offer this 7 foot thatch umbrella cover that can be used on a 6 to 6½ foot diameter round structure. The thatch can be cut without unraveling and trimmed to any desired length and width. Securing the thatch by stapling it to the rafters will help withstand all weather conditions. Our products are capable of withstanding extremely high winds, dry and wet weather.
