ProductDescription : These beige colored hooks and eyes back bra closures have beige nylon coated hardware and measure 2 3/4" high and contain 4 rows high of hooks, spaced 5/8" center to center. These closures are made in the USA and are deadstock from Stayfast, which manufactured for major lingerie brands. These are vintage stock and may have a residual musty smell. We recommend washing in vinegar to remove any remaining odors. One pair of hook and eye tape contain 2 pieces, the hook side and the eye side. The eyes are generally on the right side of the garment and the hooks are on the left. Our hooks and eyes are heat sealed on the edges. They are made from nylon tricot with bonded edges and have a plush back for comfort. The hooks and eyes can be zigzagged over the edge to reduce irritation from the fuse cut edges for sensitive skin. These closures contain three columns of eyes for adjusting, spaced 5/8" apart. The hardware is nickel free. Besides bra making, hook and eye closures are often found in bralettes, garter belts, sports bras, corsets, bustier, body shapers, athletic and compression garments that require versatility in adjusting sizes. May also be adapted as an extender on existing closures, or to repair and replace broken bra hardware on a bra to give it a second life. Tip: When initially fitting a custom bra, the hooks and eyes should be in their loosest position. As fabrics and elastics wear over time, the additional column of eyes is used to tighten the garment to prolong the life of a bra.
