Q: Why can Windows only achieve a speed of 1G and not 2.5G/5G?
A: Some mainstream PCBs automatically recognize the 2.5G/5G driver, but since 2.5G/5G products are cutting-edge, older or non-mainstream motherboards have not been updated to recognize the 2.5G/5G driver. Hence, the driver needs to be manually installed to achieve the 2.5G/5G speed. After manually installing the driver, you can go to Device Manager -> Network adapters to select the USB 2.5G/5G network card, then right-click to choose Properties -> Advanced -> Connection Speed and Duplex Mode (Speed & Duplex) -> Value and select 2.5G/5G Full Duplex. Please ensure that other hardware supports the 2.5G/5G bandwidth after doing so.

1.To achieve a 5Gbps wired network speed, your Internet plan must first provide a 5Gbps network. The Ethernet switch, router, or DSL modem being used must also support 5Gbps. Ensure that you are using Cat 6 or higher-grade Ethernet cables. Additionally, the host computer's USB-C port should support 10G data transfer and have the latest RTL driver installed.
